THE Zimbabwe National Soccer Supporters Association leadership will leave for the Coalition of Supporters Union of Africa conference in Durban, South Africa, this weekend.
The delegation will include ZNSSA leader Eddie "Mboma" Nyatanga, executive director Fortune "Giant" Bgwoni and secretary-general, Cain Muzuva.
About 40 African countries are expected to take part in the conference aimed at finding ways of mobilising supporters to rally behind their national teams.
Bgwoni said they were excited about taking part at the conference."We are happy to get the invite as this is a step in the right direction and being recognised by such a big organisation is a great honour.
"We will be looking forward to map the way forward ahead of the Afcon 2012 to be co-hosted by Burkina Faso and Gabon.
"At the conference we will be able to discuss how we can take people to the London 2012 Olympics as well.
"We are looking forward to taking about 100 people from each participating African country to go and rally behind their countries.
‘We are also hopeful that some officials from our executive will be drafted in the committee," he said.Cosua is the representative body of all national football association organisations in Africa.
Bgwoni also wished the Mighty Warriors all the best in their match against Botswana in a Nations Cup qualifier this weekend.
"To the Mighty Warriors we say we are behind you and we know victory is certain."We will get in touch with our representatives in Botswana to mobilise people to go to the stadium."The supporters will turn out and support you in Botswana and we wish you all the best," he said.
