DYNAMOS could plunge into a severe crisis, amid fears that they might lose virtually all strikers they registered for this year's Champions League, as Zimbabwean players continue to attract foreign interest.
The Glamour Boys registered six out-and-out strikers for their Champions League show - Cuthbert Malajila, Rodreck Mutuma, Tineyi Chitora, Derrick Kabwe, Martin Vengesayi and Takesure Chinyama.
With Zambian forward Kabwe's availability now a real cause for concern given that he remains locked up in Zambia, things could get heated at DeMbare in the coming few weeks.
Malajila has been in South Africa for trials and another window has opened up for him to try his luck in Egypt in a trial stint that could stretch up to March.
The speedy forward is among six Zimbabwean strikers who are set to break new ground when they become the first set of local players to try their luck at Egyptian top-flight league clubs.
Chinyama - who was wooed by Dynamos after returning home from his stint in Poland - has been given another opportunity to continue his adventure in foreign lands with a trial stint in Egypt.
Mutuma has just started trials at South African side, Ajax Cape Town, which could stretch for the remainder of this week with Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs, closely monitoring the developments.
Of the six out-and-out forwards registered by DeMbare for the Champions League, only Vengesayi and Chitora, at this moment, are guaranteed to be around when the continental inter-club adventure starts.
While Vengesayi was impressive in the second half of the season, with his pace giving everyone problems, he was effective as an impact player who came into the game in the second half when the opposition had tired.Throwing him into the fray, to lead the line from the word go, could be tricky.
Chitora had a good stint at Blue Ribbon but is a greenhorn at Champions League level and, as Tawanda Nyamandwe found out, it's one thing making a big impression elsewhere and quite another doing well at Dynamos.
Clearly, Dynamos are facing trying times and without Malajila, Chinyama and Mutuma, the team will be terribly short on arsenal upfront.
The way Dynamos handled their player recruitment during the off-season, and the way the club remains powerless to hold on to its players, has been one of the major talking points in the domestic game.
It's one of the reasons why Nyika Chifamba was demoted from his role as club secretary-general and re-assigned to his usual role as a committee member of the Glamour Boys.
Chifamba was a key figure in the recruitment exercise and brought in the Zambians without the input of coach Callisto Pasuwa.
He will be handed an official letter, advising him of his new role at Dynamos, this morning while Ray Kazembe - a young Harare businessman - will receive official confirmation that he is now the club's secretary-general.
Malajila is among six players who have been given a chance to go for trials with Egyptian clubs.
Tendai "DJ Malaika" Nyamadzawo is expected to leave for Cairo this afternoon.
Evans Gwekwerere, Charles Sibanda, Norman Maroto, Washington Pakamisa and Chinyama are scheduled to go before the end of the week.
Former CAPS United, Lengthens and Masvingo United forward Nyamadzawo is currently unsettled at FC Platinum who also have the rights for Maroto and Sibanda.
The duo of Pakamisa and Gwekwerere are on CAPS United's books.
Trials for the six players are being facilitated by EuroAfrica Group, through one of their subsidiaries, Afriten.
According to their website, EuroAfrica Group are a diversified business with interests in arts and craft, soccer television production, soccer talent development, mining, printing and banking.
The company has its headquarters in The Netherlanders but has sub-offices across the world with the Harare base playing a role in facilitating the invitation for the players.
Afriten's business development manager in Harare, David Huni, yesterday said their partners in Egypt will facilitate the trials with several clubs."We have partners and academies in Egypt who will be sending the players to various clubs for trials.
"Once the players arrive in Cairo, they will meet our representatives who will be able to take them around the clubs. At the moment I am not sure of the exact days they will spend but their final itinerary will be clear once the players arrive there," said Huni.
According to one of the letters of invitation, Ghazi El Mehalla are eager to look at Chinyama, Nyamadzawo and Pakamisa.
"We are Ghazi El Mehalla Football Club, licensed to play under the Egyptian Football Federation and hereby invite the following players - Washington Pakamisa, Matthew Tendai Nyamadzawo and Takesure Chinyama - for a series of trials recruitment at our club this season."During their stay, the players would be here from January to March 2012," read part of the letter.
Ghazl El-Mahalla are based in El-Mahalla El-Kubra and play in the Egyptian Premier League. They won the Egyptian Premier League once in 1973. They reached the African Champions League final in 1974 but lost to Congolese side Kara.
The side reached the final of the Egypt Cup six times, but never won the silverware and, in 1996, the club finished third at the Arab Clubs Champions Cup in Tuni- sia.
The side was demoted to the lower division in 1996-1997 but reclaimed their status in the 1999-2000 season.Another letter for Gwekwerere came from Al Assiouty Sporting Club.
Huni said the players are likely go to Misr El Makssa, then Harby Misk and El Geish as the clubs have shown interest to look at the players."Tomorrow (today) it's Nyamadzawo who is leaving as we have secured his visa.
"I am very grateful to FC Platinum's Worthwhile Mugabe and the rest of administration for granting us access to the players."CAPS United have also been engaged and now we await for the visas," said Huni.
Huni said despite receiving the invitations last year, Afriten had only managed to speak to the clubs and work on the visas after the festive break. Nyamadzawo was yesterday upbeat on his chances on making an impression in Egypt.
"I am ready for this challenge and I will see how it goes once I am there but I should give it my best."Naturally I will prefer to play as an outright striker although some coaches have used me behind the two attackers," said Nyamadzawo.
In 2010 Nyamadzawo went for trials with Bloemfontein Celtic in South Africa while was being tracked by South African giants Orlando Pirates until the end of last year.
Zimbabwe international striker, Malajila, has been in South Africa recently hoping to ink a deal with Super Diski club, Maritzburg Uni- ted.
The speed merchant, named by former Dynamos coach, Elvis "Chuchu" Chiweshe, as the best player playing his trade in this country, is certain to seal a deal with a foreign team within the next few weeks.
Malajila could have been in Tunisia, playing his football in that country, but a three-year deal to play for Club Africain went sour when he was loaned to a Libyan team.
As civil war broke out in Libya, Malajila fled his base and returned to Dynamos, playing a big role as the Glamour Boys suddenly found the energy that had been lacking in their game, in a remarkable push for league championship honours.
