Dynamos sink Shabanie

Dynamos.................................. (2) 2

Shabanie Mine.............................. 0

DYNAMOS put on a class display when they scored two goals in the space of four minutes in a friendly match against Shabanie Mine at Maglas.

Tichaona Mabvura intercepted a poor clearance from defender Boniface Dimanji outside the centre circle and released a scorcher that flew past goalkeeper Roy Mazingi after a quarter of an hour.

With some fans still celebrating referee Robson Ranga awarded the visitors a penalty after adjudging Smart Muchabayiwa to have handled in the box.

Last season's Golden Boot winner Rodrick Mutuma converted from the spot in the 19th minute when Mazingi was a shade too slow to block his effort.

After the goal Luke Masomere made a number of changes to his team and it paid dividends and had Lady Luck smiled on his team they could probably have drawn the game.

Masomere's new signings were a marvel to watch with Raymond Sibanda snapped from FC Platinum doing all the running.

Eriah Phiri, Francis Kanda, Nelson Mazivisa also gave it their best.Dynamos were, however, too good with Milton Makopa in control of the proceedings, the roving David Kutyauripo, young Patson Jahure and the slippery Denver Mukamba troubling the hosts.

Mukamba dribbled at will each time he was in possession and Mutuma showed some fancy footwork that left fans clamouring for more.

Dynamos might have been facing problems in the off-season but the way they played showed character.

Coach Callisto Pasuwa - who also has veterans Leo Kurauzvione and Norman Maroto in his side - looks to have a strong squad that can go far.

On the other hand Masomere has assembled a good team and he was just unfortunate that his side ended up playing with 10 men when the forceful Caleb Masocha who had a fine afternoon was shown a red card for a second bookable offence.
