DeMbare fans gets 65-seater bus

DYNAMOS supporters got a major helping hand ahead of their trip to Mozambique when they were given a 65-seater luxury bus to use for the journey by Moonlight Funeral Assurance yesterday. DeMbare will leave today for the Champions League first round, first leg clash Liga Muculmana of Maputo.

The bus will cater for the supporters willing to travel to Maputo to support their team when they take on the Mozambican champions on Saturday in Maputo.

The development comes after the Zimbabwe National Soccer Supporters Association engaged Moonlight to be their assurance holders.

Speaking at a ceremony held at Moonlight offices yesterday, the company’s human resources and public relations director, Abel Chimutanda said the gesture will be extended to other teams in the future.

“Moonlight is proud to be associated with the Zimbabwe National Soccer Supporters Association.

“After having been approached by the association we would like to announce that the request to provide Dynamos with a bus has been approved.

“We are going to provide them with a luxury 65-seater bus and two drivers for free. We would like the soccer fraternity to know that this gesture will in future be extended to all teams in the Premiership” said Chimutanda.

ZNSSA executive director, Fortune Bgwoni, said they have struck a five-year-deal with Moonlight, which will see the company becoming their assurance holders covering football supporters.

“We have started with Dynamos because they are the ones playing this weekend. The bus will be provided to other teams playing international matches.

“We agreed with Moonlight that they become our assurance holders. Initially the partnership is four five years and we will officially launch it on a date to be announced.

“The assurance will cater for all supporters in the whole country regardless of which team they support,” said Bgwoni.

Dynamos National Soccer Supporters’ Association president, Phillimon Bonde, saluted Moonlight Funeral Assurance for their support.

“We want to thank Moonlight for this wonderful thing they have done for Dynamos. They have shown us a good friendship.

“A good turn deserves another, we are going to support you since you have supported us,” said Bonde.

The bus is leaving Harare for Mozambique this morning and those who wish to travel have to converge at the corner of Albion and Chinhoyi Street in Harare. Those who wish to travel with the bus will pay US$60 to cater for fuel, accommodation and other expenses.
